Stephen Kenn : Inheritance Collection from Process Creative on Vimeo.

Inheritance Collection

It’s nice to come across these videos from time to time. Words like “heritage” “authentic” and “made in America” have come back into the forefront of design as nostalgia for work wear, quality goods and craftsmanship have become desirable again.

Putting hype of all “trends” aside, there’s nothing wrong with a true, honest piece of furniture or item that aims to tell the story that Stephen Kenn is here. And I can honestly say, it looks like amazing, truly considered rugged design, and if furniture can be described as bad-ass, then I’d fucking love this bad-ass couch for my home.

Nuff said.

Buy American or fuck you.

Two Years At Sea

Ben River’s is a young british film maker who makes mostly 16mm films which he hand develops himself. His newest film, seen heare, looks brilliant and I hope to see an American release someday.

“Two Years at Sea is less a documentary as such, more an impressionistic portrait, or a film poem. It’s subject is Jake Williams, who lives in a tumbledown house in the Cairngorms (it actually looks more like two houses that have collided violently at right angles). The film, without commentary or dialogue, never tells us that Williams is a hermit as such, but it’s clear that he lives a solitary life – and, though it’s one that most of us would find unbearable, what emerges is the sense of a truly happy existence.”
